ORCHARD HOUSE

BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

 

1.            PAYMENT. A deposit of half the rental fee is payable when the booking is made.  The balance is payable on arrival at the property.  For last minute breaks or late bookings the full amount will be required on arrival.  All cheques must be payable to D. L. Jackson

2.            CANCELLATION.  Any cancellation for whatever reason shall be in writing to Orchard house at the address at the top of the booking form.  On receipt of the notice of cancellation, we will seek to re-let the property for the period of the booking.  If we succeed for the whole period, then all monies paid shall be refunded, less an administration charge of £20 / week booked. If we are unable to re-let the property at all then all monies paid shall be forfeited. Any refund will be made after the holiday date.

3.            CHANGE OF DATE.  We will consider a change to a booking after confirmation if: The property is available and it is no later than  weeks before the commencement date.

4.            VAT. Orchard House is not VAT registered.

5.            PERIOD OF HIRE.  Rentals commence at 4.00pm on the day of arrival and terminate at 10:00am on the day of departure.  These times can be altered by prior agreement.

6.            NUMBER OF PERSONS USING THE PROPERTY.  The number of occupants must not exceed the number stipulated in the brochure.  We withhold the right to refuse the whole party if this condition is not observed.

7.            COMPLAINTS.  Should there be any cause for complaint during the occupation of the property, the owner must be notified promptly in order to rectify.

8.            BREAKAGES OR DAMAGES.  The client is legally bound to reimburse Orchard House for any replacement, repair or extra cleaning costs on demand.

9.            CARE OF THE PROPERTY.  The client shall take all responsible care of the property and its furniture, fittings, utensils and effects in or on the property and leave them in the same clean and tidy condition at the end of the rental period as at the beginning.

10.        PETS.  Pet are welcome at Orchard House but must be under the proper control at all times.  No more that 2 dogs are allowed without prior arrangement.  Pets must not be left unattended for any length of time and are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture, a baby gate is supplied to prevent this.  The client shall provide for their pet any bedding and food.  The client shall be responsible for hygiene issues both inside and outside the property.

11.        LIABILITY.  Orchard House shall not be under any liability to the client or third parties for any loss or damage arising from breach of contract, negligence or otherwise.  If the property becomes unusable for some reason prior to the date of occupation, then all monies shall be reimbursed in full.

12.        RIGHT OF ENTRY.  We shall be allowed the right of entry to the property at all reasonable times for purposes of inspection or to carry out any necessary repair or maintenance.
